Is it true that an Indian Citizen with a US Visa can not reenter the US within 6 mths ?

If an Indian citizen visits the US for 6 months and leaves, will he be eligible for visiting the US again within the next 6 months ? Is it true that an Indian Citizen with a US Visa can not reenter the US within 6 mths ?

If you apply and receive the proper visa, you may visit as often as your visa allows. If you apply for a multiple entry visa or apply for another visit visa soon after your last visit, you will need to give a plausible explanation for your frequent visits. That may be that a family member living in the US is ill, or a variety of other reasons. Essentially, you need to convince embassy staff that you are not a prospective illegal immigrant likely to overstay your visa and/or looking for work.
