They're saying he is not an American Citizen, but realistically, how did he get this far if he wasn't?

Well, now that the Supreme Court is involved then I guess we'll find out. No one knows except for God and President-elect Obama (yes, they are two different people).





But, if for some reason he is found not to be Constitutionally qualified before he is sworn in, that would be unprecedented. Technically he's not even the President-elect until the Electoral College votes are counted and certified. Thus, there is no line of succession that would make Vice President-elect Biden the next in line.





I this case, it could come down to the House of Representatives each voting as a state block. The person carrying a majority of the states would win. So it would matter then not which party holds the most seats, but which party holds the most majorities within their states.So is the accusations of Obama not being an American Citizen true?
One lawsuit with Leo Donofrio as the Plaintiff has been moved to emergency status and is scheduled for full conference today.

You need to read the details on the Donofrio lawsuit, it really is the only one that may stick, it is against McCain and Obama and the question of them being American Citizens is not the issue, the issue is natural born citizens as outlined in the constitution, Obama's father was not a citizen and McCain was born in Panama, apparently according to the constitution this makes both of them ineligible for presidency. There seems to be an issue in the US constitution that would question not their citizenship status, but their natural citizen status. Who knows what happens if this sticks.
We don't know. If he's not, he got this far because his own party allowed him to run without properly vetting him. It's not the FBI's job, or the CIA's, or anyone else's...it's his own party.





It's not a question of whether he's a citizen - yes, he's pretty obviously a citizen. It's a question of whether he's a *natural-born* citizen, which is a requirement of the presidency. It's not a requirement of being a Representative, a Senator, a Governor, etc...but it is a Constitutional requirement for being President. The only people that were released from that requirement were those who were born before the Constitution was enacted.





If he's not eligible, then John McCain will get the votes - he got the second highest number of votes. Biden would not, as he didn't run for President. (He would step in if Obama was unable to serve *after* being inaugurated.)

Obama has already admited that he had dual citzenship at birth. He is therefore not a natural born citizen.
When you note that ';they're saying'; who, exactly, do you mean by ';they?'; Let me tell you who ';they'; are. No. The question that is being raised by some desperate people is whether Obama is a ';natural born citizen'; as required by the Constitution. Obama was born in Hawaii, so the inquiry is baseless.





The question would have more validity if McCain had won because he was born in Panama. He is of course a citizen but he might be considered a ';statutory citizen'; as opposed to a ';natural born citizen.';
This is what we know- we DONT know whether he was born in Hawaii or not. It is a legimate question and one that bears HONEST and THOROUGH research aimed at finding the truth rather than validating one opinion or another. If he really is a citizen then good for him, if not, it is unconstitutional for him to be president. People should be more concerned with what is right or wrong than advancing their own agenda one way or the other.


Rumor has it that his grandmother said she witnessed his birth in Kenya and then he was taken to the U.S. That may or may not hold water but it certainly warrants research.

If this is not enough let me put it another way, every single case brought forth by the conspiracy nuts on this subject has been thrown out of court.
This question has been proven wrong so many times before. The fact is if he were not an American citizen, he would not be our next president. He was born in Hawaii which is a U.S. territory. Just because Obama has a different name, and doesn't look like all of the other presidents and has different ideas does not mean he isn't a U.S. citizen. He is and that is all there is to it.
There are a few poor losers who continue to scream about his citizenship but they are just desperate and clinging to any hope no matter how stupid, Obama is a citizen, his birth certificate is legitimate and his mother was a US citizen when he was born, even if he had dual citizenship he would still be a natural born US citizen and eligible to be president.
