Just because someone is married to US Citizen doesn't get automatic visa to enter US. US Citizen spouse must file petition either CR-1 immigrant visa or K-3 non-immigrant visa for spouse to come to US and live legally.
http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/鈥?/a>Is it true if us citizen marry other country, his wife cant enter to usa?
Spouses of us citizens can enter the US.It does take a while for a married US citizen to bring their wife/husband here.
Fiance visa takes about 8-10 mos.
The US citizen needs to file a petition. It takes forever and is expensive!! I am doing the same right now
You are correct. Nothing has changed.
You need to file the petition and get the immigrant visa before they come over.
The spouse can not enter as a visitor, they actually can, but no one is going to believe that they are not planning to live here. You need to file the petition and get the immigrant visa before they come over.
The wife can't enter the USA until he petitions for a visa(K3) and she receives said visa.
Totaly wrong.I live most of the year in Cambodia. Some american guys who have no success with american girls come to Cambodia to find a wife. Not longer than 2 months after wedding in Phnom Penh, the wives follow their husbands and find a little job in the states. They don't come back.
To enter the states is a piece of cake once you're married.
IF YOU MARRY OUTSIDE US TAKES ABOUT5 YEARS
The truth is that the process to obtain the visa takes twice as long if you are already married. The fastest way is a k1 fiance visa and then marriage in the US.
Not without a visa...and it's been that way for about 100 years or so.
