Being a Canadian Resident, I have my sponsered spouse waiting for her Family Class immigration to be processed overseas, which may take upto 9 months.
I have heard that if she has a US visa, she can simply cross the US border and be in Canada based on the fact she is a spouse of a Canadian Citizen. Is there any truth to this?Is it true that if a Canadian Citizen's foriegn spouse shows up on the Canadian border, CIC will accept her?
No. The spouse will have to remain outside of Canada until his or her papers have been approved unless the papers were filed while the spouse was already in Canada. If the spouse attempts to cross the border from the US into Canada, it will hurt his or chances for approval.
