Complete BS. There are lots of Israelis who are not Jewish.
If you're looking for a country that requires citizens to be a certain religion, try Saudi Arabia.

Is it true that to become a citizen of Israel one has to be Jewish? Is that legal under international law?
I meant does one have to be Jewish to immigrate and then become naturalized in the state of Israel without converting to Judaism or any other religion!

Israel is the Jewish homeland but there are Israelis who are non-Jews, including many Muslims and Christians, and Druze, who are non-Jewish loyal citizens of Israel.
In fact, 1/6 of Israelis are Arab (mostly Muslim). There are Arab Muslim parties in the Knesset (parliament).
well, Israel was declared a ';Jewish State'; after the holocaust, so it only makes sense that u need to be jewish. However, you dont need to be jewish to work, live, or join the israeli army.
By the way, i know of so many people who lied about one of their ancestors being jewish, and got granted the jewish title, and an israeli citizenship.
i don't quite understand the question but if you were born to Jewish parents or if your mother is Jewish you can simply request to become a citizen of Israel and by Israeli law you are automatically granted citizenship.
The thing about international law is that it's completely unenforceable. I mean, who's going to stop them? In the end, it's their country, so they can do whatever they want.
Totally unlawful, I would file a suit with the International Supreme Court if I were you
