Nope. You are really wrong to say that dems and the left are not true patriotic citizens. You may disagree with what we are protesting, like we disagree with you, but it was out of patriotism and love for this country that we protested. Our values are strong. It is wrong and harmful to call your fellow Americans unpatriotic simply because they feel differently than you about an issue. That's not unpatriotic...that's just two different opinions. For example...warrantless wire taps. I see this as a DIRECT violation of the US Constitution. You, I assume, see it as a necessity to keep us safe. Who is not patriotic here? Neither of us...I believe the Constitution is and was violated - that's patriotic. You want to keep America safe - also patriotic. It's merely a different opinion. Please please please realize that and let's try to find real common ground to move our great country forward together.
Not even close. There have been protest in the streets for many presidents. The fact that you asked that proves one thing. Nobody remembers the protest once they are over. The protests make headlines, but are quickly forgotten and therefor are without purpose.





Calling this the ';Tea party protest'; is a joke. It is a play on ';The Boston Tea Part'; which was a response to one of the ';Intolerable acts'; done by King George III. But in the Boston tea Part, the actual tea on a ship, was seized by force (although non-voilent), and the tea was dumped into the harbor. As a result, the Tea was never actually delivered, and so it did not have to be paid for, and of course, no tea tax.





This so called ';Tea party protest'; is nothing more than people marching in the streets trying to get attention by using a similar name. It's a lame duck, with a few politicians involved because it really does nothing but help them win votes.





Let us not forget the so called tax refud we got was really just an advance on this years taxes where we pay it all back. A big lie.





Congress is the single most iresponsible entity in the country and has the lowest approval rating in history. Don't like the invasion of Iraq? Let us not forget that congress voted to give the president the authority to invade Iraq. Don't like the bailouts? Congress voted on those too.





Congress and the president will say we have to cut spending and that means us losing programs ';retirement benefits';, disability benefits, etc. etc. They try to change our minds by sticking us, while at the same time, they come up with NEW programs that we do not have or need and they always come up with money for those but, I digress.





The only way to get the atention of the president and of congress, is to find a way to hit them in the pockets. So it truely cost them, and their corporate buddies lots of money. Do that, and they will get it.





It's time to be inventive.
Yes, the first to take our Country towards FACISM. When the Government tells companies who and who cannot be their CEO, when they (the Government) are barreling their agenda down our throats out of ';fear';, when this adminstration declares our Veterans coming home from the middle east terrorists, and the list goes on, and on, and ON.

Are you kidding me.....true patriots.....right....Instead of all of you gathering in the street, by don't you attend some of those budget meetings.

No, he's the first BLACK president to do it. I don't give a $hit what they say, that still plays a HUGE role in it. Democratic presidents have always been criticized by Cons and vice verse, but NEVER this level of hate and ignorance!
Todays tea ';parties'; were just another example of the desperate, bankrupt ideals of the republican party. They just don't get it. If they don't change with the times, they will continue to lose elections.

Liberals protest about not enough Government Handouts, why would they protest taxes they do not pay?
