Do immigrants benefit from marrying an American citizen or is that no longer true?

Not anymore. Do immigrants benefit from marrying an American citizen or is that no longer true?
It used to be an easy ticket to fraudulent American citizenship, no more!

Immigration is coming down hard on foreigners who marry Americans just to obtain citizenship. The Americans who take part in this fraud knowingly are now going to jail.

Immigration is now making immigrants who pull this scam serve jail time before they deport them.Do immigrants benefit from marrying an American citizen or is that no longer true?

I'm pretty sure you can still get a Green Card this way.
The government is cracking down harder on this, marriage is no longer an automatic green card. INS makes you go through so many hoops I know people who got divorced and just got a working visa instead.
o yea I love to my Elizabeth and I will get my green card
No but their anchor babies benefit the mom that pops them out.
My wife was here on a tourist visa when she was single, we met, married and she was allowed to stay and is now a citizen. All in the last 6 years.
for immigrants, marrying an american citizen is the best way for them to get status.. HOWEVER, with new rules, you need to be married for a minimum of three years and have certain documents to show that the marriage was not just for immigration purposes.. this includes interviews and house visits.. so i hope you found someone that you love, or else you could find yourself in some trouble..

Yes, you will be allowed to immigrate to US with your spouse.
It depends if they think that marrying someone they truly love is a benefit for their future.
